Student-Focused Help
Please contact your instructor, teaching assistant, and any of the contacts below if you encounter technical difficulties. Everyone wants to support you in removing roadblocks as soon as possible, so you can get back to learning.
UBC ITSC supports many of UBC’s online services and software including UBC CWL (Campus-Wide Login), wireless internet, Canvas, student and alumni email, ResNet (campus residential internet), anti-virus tools, and UBC myVPN (Virtual Private Network). The UBC IT services catalogue lets you find the most common student services, with step-by-step guides and support.
UBC ITSC also offers one-on-one support through their ITSC help desk, and you can find free UBC-supported software and other free open-source software for students on their website.
The CLC website is an evolving collection of student-curated resources to support academic success and wellness. The website complements the in-person services available in the physical Chapman Learning Commons (at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre), where you can access advanced technologies, collaborative work areas, workshop spaces, and hands-on learning support.
On the website, you can request one-on-one support, learn about available spaces and loan-able equipment, get technical help, gain essential learning skills, and connect with other students through CLC events, workshops, and blog.
